Bryan Zyon is a self-taught visionary artist from Laguna Beach where he grew up inspired by his community and his great-grandmother who painted in Laguna during the 1940’s. Being surrounded by the ocean and surf-culture his whole life, he is constantly expressing his love for surfing and travel. He studied cultural anthropology and ecology at UCSC and continues to tap into that knowledge through his art. Bryan uses his paintings to guide viewers on a journey to explore their own relationship with nature & culture. His process involves an intuitive approach starting with abstract foundations while moving through expressionism and surrealism to create vivid dreamlike imagery. His intentions point toward a “Restoration of Nature & Culture through Art”.
